Our Story

How does Adam and his story braid into the coffee world?

Some have said, "Adam is the hardest worker they know." Others have also said, "He's just an all around awesome guy." One of Adam’s chores was serving food at the dinner table. As server, Adam was the maestro of the meal.

When he became old enough to work, he was most interested in working in restaurants. He enjoyed serving meals as well as visiting with guests while he was working. Since the restaurants were in his hometown, he often met people he knew and made new friendships.

He worked at three different restaurants in the Chicago suburbs before he and his parents (Art and Cindi) moved to Nevada to be close to the rest of the family in 2020. Food and fun are what Adam enjoys to share with others while at work.

Why is work important for individuals with disabilities?

Adam is a man of many talents. He also has Down Syndrome. Unemployment for people with disabilities is nearly 80%. While Adam's Coffee grows, it is a priority to employ more individuals with disabilities.

Civil rights for people with disabilities are very important to Adam and his family. Adam has taken the message to businesses, advocacy organizations, churches, and government leaders.

5% to Special Olympics

Adam has always appreciated to social circle he has been able to connect with while at work. Equally as much, he has enjoyed meeting his friends when they compete in Special Olympics. Special Olympics has been a huge part of Adam's helping to provide an outlet for exercise, competition, social skills, hard work, and an all around good time. For these reasons Adam's Coffee Co will be donating 5% of all profits to Special Olympics with hopes the organization can continue to grow and bring the same great opportunities to even more individuals.

How does coffee fit in?

Adam wanted his own business again providing smiles on customer's faces.

What better than coffee, reminiscent of mornings with his family when the coffee was brewing and an inviting warm savory aroma filled the kitchen. Adam’s Coffee hopes to help our customers conjure up the same feeling.
